CONTRIBUTION TO LOCAL DEVELOPMENT & CHARITIES
COUNTER CULTURE
Polyrey represents a major player for the local employment basin around its two production plants, in addition to a significant economic stakeholder. To support our region, we implement actions for local development and in support of charities.
Wherever possible, we calls on local suppliers for our packaging, transport, maintenance and energy supply. For our maintenance services, we also call on the disabled workers' agency (ESAT) in Corrèze and Dordogne for the upkeep of our natural areas and the manufacture of our pallets, for example.
(finance, achats, marketing, IT…) Chaque collaborateur a également été accompagné par une formation en e-learning, à la fois pour les managers et pour les utilisateurs du travail à domicile.
In order to foster relations between regional businesses, the Managing Director opted to join a local business club :
The Bergerac Business Club which aims to develop synergies between companies and promote local industrial expertise.
A club for companies of more than 100 employees which, in addition to maintaining relations, seeks solutions to common issues, such as the pooling of power supply or service provisions. These companies also undertake actions in association with local administrations to develop the global attractiveness of the region, by working on its weaknesses (medical shortcomings, lack of public transport,etc.).
A project is currently being planned to pool a staff transport shuttle service. This type of project is the perfect illustration of a sustainable approach, as it is beneficial from a societal (meets a regional need and is a practical and economical solution for local employees) and environmental perspective (opting for collective rather than individual transport).
Thanks to our historic local foothold, we are regularly called on by schools or fire brigades, etc., to provide them with displays or donations to help support their actions. Whenever possible, we respond positively to their requests in order to play our part in supporting local initiatives.
Young people are the future, we also place great importance on leading several initiatives aimed at this group. Several partnerships have thus been forged with local high schools to offer work placements, organised tours and external company presentations.
Our engagement knows no boundaries; we also support national and international organisations, in particular on actions in line with the values that we defend.
SOLIDARITY BOXES
During the Christmas season, a solidarity box initiative was organised in support of the charity Secours Populaire. Each employee was given the opportunity to fill a shoe box with various items, such as a warm object, a beauty product, a treat, a game and a kind message. Once wrapped, these boxes were distributed to the needy at Christmas.

EMMAÜS WORKSHOP
We recently organised a partnership with the Emmaüs Workshop to provide this charity with downgraded panels in support of the circular and solidarity economy. These panels were used in several furniture creation projects and also served to assert a long-term engagement in actions to preserve resources and promote recycling.
The most recent project with the workshop was to produce the modular organisational item, ‘Henri’, which was added to the National Furniture Collection (affiliated with the Ministry for Culture) in 2021. For Hervé LEMOINE, Director of the National Furniture Collection, Henri’s appeal lies in ‘its contemporary style and virtuous design. By offering an initiation in carpentry to apprentice tradeworkers for the creation of an anti-waste item of furniture, Henri embodies the values of the National Furniture Collection, i.e., the transmission of know-how and an eco-friendly approach including sustainable development, an ever-growing concern.’
